Our CNC machining covers milling and turning for one off parts and production runs. We work in metals and engineering plastics and machine every job to the drawing you supply.
Our laser cutting uses a 6 kW Bystronic DNE fibre laser with a 3000 x 1500 mm bed. We cut mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium in house and source thicker plate when a job needs it.
Our metal fabrication brings cutting, folding and welding together in one workshop. We make frames, brackets, enclosures and assemblies to your drawings.
Our design service turns a sketch, a photo or a sample into manufacturing drawings. Design work is done in house and quoted as a separate one off fee.

McIver Engineering delivers precision manufacturing backed by 23 years of expertise.
Several things push the cost of a part up or down. The material and its thickness set the starting point. Quantity matters because setup time is spread across the run. Complexity, the finish you need and the tolerances on the drawing all add time. Send us your drawing and we will quote the job as it stands.
Up to about five parts takes two to three weeks, whether the parts are made in Smithfield or sourced overseas, unless they are very large. Fifty to one hundred parts takes four to six weeks. Five hundred or more takes six to seven weeks. For overseas orders of a hundred or more, sea freight lowers the cost and adds about four weeks. Quantities between those bands are quoted individually, and every quote confirms the lead time.
